Sonmarg: After early breakfast leave for day excursion to Sonmarg. Sonmarg translates into meadow of gold” because of the local yellow crocus bloom in the spring season .It is the farthest excursion spot from Srinagar passing through the spectacularly beautiful Sindh valley, picturesque villages present the glimpses of Kashmir’s Countryside. It is surrounded by pine trees and mountain cliffs which offer mind boggling possibilities for mountaineers .Sonmarg is also famous for its rock climbing sites, alpine skiing and Trout fishing in the roaring river Sindh. It also serves as base camp for Annual Amarnath Yatra from the Baltal route, “Gateway to Ladakh”.
Yousmarg: After taking breakfast leave for enjoyment of virgin beauty of Yusmarg. Yusmarg has some highest peaks in Pir Panchal range like Tatakoti 4725mts, Romesh Thong 5000 mts, Sunset Peak 4750mts which contribute to the formation of the mighty Dooth Ganga river . It is believed that Jesus Christ (pbuh) passed through this valley while travelling to Kashmir. The scenic beauty of Yusmarg mesmerizes the visitors. On the way to Yusmarg visit Char – E – Sharief , shrine of famous sufi saint of the valley, for his blessings for the couple. This shrine is very popular among Muslims as well as non Muslims. Since Srinagar airport is secure Airport it will have 2 round of X-ray and frisking of passengers first at Gate no. 1 which is 1 Km away from main building and 2nd. X-ray and frisking inside the terminal and counter gets closed 45mints earlier of the departure. Due to this need to leave early for airport. Also to note that liquids in form of food, deo, perfumes shampoo etc will not be allowed in hand baggage. Also round shaped and hard fruits will also not be allowed in the hand baggage. Dry food items like biscuits or cakes will be allowed in hand baggage.
